Modern methods require modern thinking: QbD enables it, SFC delivers it
SFC Europe 2025 took place in Basel from 5 to 7 October, and Chromicent was represented with its own stand.
This was an opportunity for us to present the SFC applications developed and established at Chromicent. Keywords: ICH Q14, nitrosamines, extractables and leachables, chirals, peptides, SFE and heavy metal analysis.
In a presentation, Dr Andreas Zappe introduced our ‘One for all’ platform method, which detects a wide range of nitrosamines under GMP using SFC-MS/MS.

Moritz Effner won the Best Poster Award with:
“Machine learning-based prediction of chemical solubility for extraction with supercritical fluids”
Effective and optimized sample preparation is a key element for time-efficient method development.
„Between Essential and
Toxic“
SFC can do even more. This was demonstrated by our doctoral student Adrian Schust with his poster on heavy metals and SFC.
